Cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations / 7 Days Money Back Guarantee

7 day money back guarantee is only offered against vehicles purchased through our Winchester Motor Company SKODA site or Garland Motors SKODA.

Ordinarily we do not run an organised distance selling scheme. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak we need to support our valued customers by delivering your vehicle to your home.

If you order and take delivery of your vehicle during this current lockdown (5th November – 2nd December) and you are not buying the car in the course of your trade or business, the following cancellation clause applies:

You have 7 days or 150 miles (whichever is sooner) to get to know your new vehicle and to make sure it suits you. If you change your mind just let us know in writing by email to nick.white@garlandmotors.skoda.co.uk for Garland Motors or wayne.sims@winchester.skoda.co.uk for Winchester Motor Company and to reach us by 6pm on the 7th day following delivery.

We cannot accept a return of the car if it has been damaged, modified or altered from the condition it was delivered in.

If you do not want to return your vehicle to the showroom, a mileage charge of £2 per mile for us to collect the vehicle will apply. Mileage will be charged as a round trip (i.e. 50 miles to your address and 50 miles to return to the showroom). If you do change your mind you cannot use the car once you have notified us (unless being driven back to us) - but you must still tax and insure the vehicle until it is back in our possession.

This cancellation (change of mind) clause does not affect any separate rights given to you in The Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).
