New ŠKODA OCTAVIA vRS

Showcasing the high-performance, racing capability of the Czech manufacturer, the new ŠKODA OCTAVIA vRS is a real statement of intent. Featuring a slick, sporty exterior and design flourishes that will have heads turning during your travels, this standout model in the OCTAVIA range provides motorists with a penchant for performance to get behind the wheel of a model that never disappoints.

Design

The new ŠKODA OCTAVIA vRS is as striking as they come. From bold, standout finishes to subtle touches as door sill strips and chrome finish exhaust pipes, the model has plenty to impress. With dynamic alloy wheels, the sporty rear spoiler, and vRS badges, you will know that this is a model that means business. The stylish interior, meanwhile, incorporates such measures as a three-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel, tinted glass, an LED interior lighting pack, vRS sports seats and upholstery for a comfortable, customisable drive.

Performance

Performance is, of course, where the new vRS has an opportunity to shine. Four engines options - two petrol and two diesel - come with either manual transmission or Direct Shift Gearbox, with the 2.0 TDI 184ps edition also available with four-by-four. Accelerating from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds and with 370Nm or torque, however, the 2.0 TSI 245ps is arguably the most fun of all.

Technology and safety

A sports performance model like the new OCTAVIA vRS needs to be able to deliver technology that enhances the driving experience. With the virtual cockpit, SmartLink+, cruise control, and more, there is plenty of modern charm to appeal. What’s more, safety measures such as adaptive LED headlights, Blind Spot Detect, and Front Assist with Pedestrian Protection, you can be confident of staying safe out on the road.

These vehicles are tested according to WLTP technical procedures. Figures shown are for comparability purposes. Please refer to and use the fuel consumption figures marked WLTP and the CO2 emissions figures marked NEDC equivalent for comparisons as from 1 January 2019. These are the official figures for the UK from 1 January 2019 and until further notice. Avoid making comparisons using the fuel consumption figures marked NEDC equivalent after 31 December 2018 or the CO2 emissions figures marked WLTP before 6 June 2020 – these figures are not official after/until that date and are provided for information only. Only compare fuel consumption and CO2 figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. Due to more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions measured under the WLTP are in many cases higher compared to NEDC equivalent data. Figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load. There is a new test used for fuel consumption and CO2 figures (known as WLTP). The NEDC CO2 figures shown however, are based on a calculation designed to be equivalent to the outgoing test cycle and will be used to calculate vehicle tax on first registration. Choice of wheels and other options may affect fuel consumption and emissions data. For more information, please see WLTP Info or contact your local ŠKODA Retailer.
