Which is the best used ŠKODA car to buy?

Close

When it comes to choosing a used ŠKODA vehicle, it pays to first determine the specifics of what you need. Do you need a model with plenty of interior space? A vehicle with a powerful engine? Or something small and agile to get around town? The ŠKODA lineup has been tailored to offer something for everyone so, once you know precisely what you need, the team at Winchester Motor Group will be able to help you find the perfect solution.

Can I part exchange my old vehicle?

Close

You can. We aim to make the purchasing process as simple and affordable as can be, which is why we will accept almost any vehicle in part exchange as part of your deposit. Simply complete our online form for a basic valuation and a member of our team will be in touch with more details.

What checks do you make before selling a used car?

Close

Our sales team is careful in selecting only those models that offer the utmost quality. As such, we’ll look at age, mileage and condition, but also run full HPI checks into past ownership to ensure that there is no outstanding finance that may affect your purchase. In addition, our experienced technicians conduct full mechanical inspections working towards a manufacturer-approved checklist to ensure there are no underlying issues.

I'm on a budget. Do you have any used car special offers?

Close

Yes. We regularly run promotions across the vehicles we have in stock to ensure that our customers will always be able to get the best deal possible. Head over to our used car special offers page to check out the current deals we have available, or get in touch with a member of the team at Winchester Motor Group direct.

Can I lease a used car from you?

Close

In some instances it may be possible to lease one of our used cars instead of purchasing. We recommend contacting a member of the team direct to discuss your options regarding any potential lease.

What are the disadvantages of buying a used car?

Close

We at Winchester Motor Group like to believe that there are very few downsides to buying a pre-owned vehicle. In fact, such is the quality of modern engineering, you can expect as-new performance for a great low price. Of course, you may not be able to benefit from any manufacturer warranty that is associated with a brand new car, and you may not have the very latest in automotive technology, but the models we sell are still among the very best vehicles on roads today.

Can I get a used car on finance?

Close

Yes. In fact, it may well be more cost effective to purchase using vehicle finance. With low deposits and fixed monthly repayments, financing is affordable to almost all motorists.

What are the finance options for used cars?

A number of purchasing schemes - such as Hire Purchase, Contract Hire, and Personal Contract Purchase - are often available on the used cars we sell. Speak to a member of our sales team today to discuss the best options for you.

Are approved used cars worth the extra cost?

With added benefits such as increased warranties, roadside assistance, driveaway insurance and more available on Approved Used Cars, you may well value this peace of mind as worth a few additional pounds on a purchase price. Speak to our sales team today to discuss the benefits in more detail.

7 Day Money Back Guarantee terms & Conditions;

Cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations / 7 Days Money Back Guarantee

Ordinarily we do not run an organised distance selling scheme. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak we need to support our valued customers by delivering your vehicle to your home.

If you order and take delivery of your vehicle during this current lockdown (5th November – 2nd December) and you are not buying the car in the course of your trade or business, the following cancellation clause applies:

  • You have 7 days or 150 miles (whichever is sooner) to get to know your new vehicle and to make sure it suits you. If you change your mind just let us know in writing by email to nick.white@garlandmotors.skoda.co.uk for Garland Motors or wayne.sims@winchester.skoda.co.uk for Winchester Motor Company and to reach us by 6pm on the 7th day following delivery.
  • We cannot accept a return of the car if it has been damaged, modified or altered from the condition it was delivered in.
  • If you do not want to return your vehicle to the showroom, a mileage charge of £2 per mile for us to collect the vehicle will apply. Mileage will be charged as a round trip (i.e. 50 miles to your address and 50 miles to return to the showroom). If you do change your mind you cannot use the car once you have notified us (unless being driven back to us) - but you must still tax and insure the vehicle until it is back in our possession.

This cancellation (change of mind) clause does not affect any separate rights given to you in The Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).
