Aftercare FAQs

Please see our commonly asked questions and answers around Aftercare, Servicing and Parts.

How often should I service my ŠKODA vehicle?

Close

It’s recommended that you should conduct a vehicle service once every 12 months. This is to ensure that all the key components are operating at their best, and that the vehicle continues to offer the very best safety when out on the road. The vehicle handbook will detail precisely how frequently a service should be conducted, or you can liaise with the aftersales team at Winchester Motor Group to discuss your options.

How long does a car service take?

Close

It really depends on the type of vehicle and whether or not we identify any issues. However, you can book while-you-wait servicing which may take as little as an hour. Please speak to a member of the aftersales department to discuss your servicing requirements.

How much does it cost to get your car serviced?

Close

We aim to ensure that vehicle servicing is as affordable as can be. In fact, we often provide service plans that let you spread the payments over an agreed term. Such a plan also means that you are protected against price fluctuations. In terms of servicing costs, however, you should contact our aftersales team direct for the latest prices. We’ll also be happy to advise you on any promotions and special offers that may be available.

What happens if you don’t service your car?

Close

Depending on your purchasing agreement, failing to meet the servicing schedule could find you in breach of your contract and face legal action and additional charges. Even if you don’t have a financing agreement, failing to service your vehicle could lead to failing your MOT test, experiencing vehicle damage, and lessening the resale value should you decide to sell in future.

What does a full service include?

Close

A full vehicle service will check dozens upon dozens of elements in your vehicle to ensure they’re operating at their best. From checking brakes to fluid levels, light bulbs to emissions, you can rest assured that a full service has you covered.

Can I go to a non ŠKODA retailer for servicing?

Close

You can indeed. However, it always looks better to have a service stamp in your logbook from a manufacturer-approved workshop, and may well enable you to sell your vehicle for a higher price should you ever decide to part with your car.

Can you supply me with a courtesy vehicle while my car is being serviced?

Close

Where possible, we will try and provide you with access to a courtesy car while your model is being serviced. Note, however, that an additional cost may be applicable. Speak to a member of our team today to find out more.

Where can I find parts for my ŠKODA?

Close

We’re delighted that our state-of-the-art workshop features an array of parts and accessories approved by the manufacturer. Liaise with a member of the aftersales department today and we’ll help source the ideal components for your vehicle.

Does ŠKODA offer any roadside assistance?

Close

Yes. In partnership with the AA, you have the opportunity to benefit from ŠKODA Assistance for the price of just £89 per year. Speak to a member of the team at Winchester Motor Group today to find out more.

Does my car come with a spare wheel or tyre inflation kit?

Close

Depending on the model you choose, you may well have a spare tyre or an inflation kit. Ensure that you discuss with the sales advisor at the time of purchase so that you’re fully aware of what is included with your purchase.
